''Why is family killing family in Goa?''

   Now a days many murder cases we can see in our goan society. Most of the cases occurs only because of one reason that is property argument between siblings in the family. Even blood brothers don't feel anything while killing their siblings only because of money and property.

   In March 2012, warkhand village in pernem such case had take place where Eknath Thakur killed his own younger brother Sadanand Thakur after an altercation over a property dispute turned violent. Eknath, in a fit of rage, hit his brother on the head with a stick and than smashed his chest with a stone. And he murdered his brother this is only because - the duo had a argument over a property that they owned and were unhappy with the way the issue was getting resolved.

   In December 2012, Nanora village in Bicholim taluka another cases emerged where Shashikant Laxman Gaonkar was killed by his younger brother Sunil Gaonkar with an iron rod in altercation over his property dispute. Sunil later tried to bury Shashikant's died body inside the cowshed near their house at Usap, Nanora. The reason was the sibling were at loggerheads over their ancestral property despite living in the same house and their fights had become bitter.

    In August 2013, St. Cruz village in Tiswadi taluka Norman Fernandes attacks and kills his sister Maureen Vaz, her mother in law Aurita. Her brother in law Edgar survived  the brutal knife attack but he fought for his life in Goa Medical College. The reason was a property dispute where that they both owned and were unhappy with the way the issue was getting resolved. In St. Cruz, while the village mourns the deaths of two of their own, while Edgar Vaz is fluctuating between life and death in GMC, knowing that he has just lost his wife and mother, Rafael Peixode attacked his brother and sister in law. No deaths occurred but this proves that property disputes within the family have taken a real ugly turn.

Most the murdered takes place where one brother murdering another brother in a fit o rage. The Portuguese law that we all follow in Goa doesn't allow the occupant of the land to make any changes and needs all siblings t sign. So, some of they are abroad or some gives any excuses in such cases, the chances of cheating and fraud happens. As property prices remain Goa's perennial goldmines, the patience with laws is running out and greed is breaking Goa's families often with murderous consequences. And it is sad to see the degradation of family values in today's world. Greed has taken over and the strong family happens to be the nucleus of the society. If the members of the one family cannot live together in peace and harmony. There are many other avenues available to resolve any dispute over property matters, murder is not a final answer to live.   

Discrimination In Society

Today we all in the liberalized nation but we can still notice many bad thing going in our society. And because of those things we are lagging behind in terms of its progress. The most common thing which pulls us down is Discrimination, and we all follow that trend knowingly or unknowingly in our daily life. The widely seen discriminations are caste and gender discrimination.

Caste discrimination. 

At present caste system is not that much effective in goa but still some amount of it can seen in our state. And that small small discriminations had a large impact on our society. In caste discrimination people are divided into various social groups and because of this reason unity in the society breaks out. And people can't progress together. Another thing that is always high caste people get first preference in every sector so low caste people lags behinds. So, by taking well advantage in every sector only high caste people gets chance to progress and due to this reason low caste people remains under poor condition. And because of their bad economic condition they can't give education and other basic facilities to their children. And looking at the poor condition of these people our Government had made some reservations for those people in education, job and in other sectors as well. Even after many reservations those people are still not given a equal chance in some places. So, for the betterment of our society first we should treat every person equally. And if all treat everyone equally than one day our nation will be reach at the top most level in every field.

Gender discrimination.

Yet  today mostly females are going ahead in every field, we still see discrimination between male and female in many places and these types of discrimination are called as gender discrimination. Mostly people in villages do discrimination between girl and boy in their family. Means girls are not allowed to take education believing that in future their job is only to look after family and children. They are not allowed to work. Luckily today such types of things are quite less but also can still seen in some remote areas . Also girls are given a very bad treatment in the society and are not given equal share in property like that of boys in a family are given. In working sectors, women are seen as week so they are not given much chance to present their talents in front of  public because only men are seen as more powerful. And such discrimination we should stop for the welfare of women. Because today we see mostly women are coming up with great things than men. And if the gender discrimination is vanished from our society than one day our women will do their best in every field.      

Child Molestation

In this globalized world we can see that many things had changed from worse to the best and similarly at the same time we can see many things are becoming worse day by day. We say our country is liberated but in reality its not so. Today not a single person is safe in this world. There are many bad trends going on in our society. And from all those things the most worse things I would say is the ''child molestation''. Which makes one physically, mentally and emotionally weak and so that person finds themselves in a danger zone. Child molestation is a deviant behavior which is an incurable disorder. Child molestation is used to describe as actual sexual contact between an adult and illegal aged person where the child is developmentally unprepared and cannot give consent. Which include acts like rape, date rape, domestic violence, sexual assault, etc. And this trend is said to be the most worse one in the world which harms our growing generation. Many a times child molesters go unnoticed because there involvement with children appears to be well intentioned. There are two sub types of child molesters. One is the situational child molester and other is the preferential child molester. If the child victimized by the molester than that child can never be cured even with any sort of treatment. And child molestation is becoming a much more prevalent issue in today's society as day by day such cases are increasing at a great level and being reported and subject to media acknowledgement. As we know that victimized child can't recognized but the first step in understanding child molestation is to know and understand the facts about child molesters. Because many a times children are unaware of that they are being molested and in such situations one should need to know the signs and symbols and the change in behavior of victim. Child molestation are the worse than the murderer too. In any type of disease or in murder one loss their life but in molestation one carry a life time sickness with them. And such sickness destroy a child physically, mentally and emotionally. So, such types of trends should uprooted first for the proper and natural growth of our society. And than only we can say that we are living in the liberated nation. Where everyone can live a secured and happy life forever.................

In Goa, we see many children opt to work rather than go to school.There are laws which aim to ensure that every student below the age of 14 should go to school but in some cases, its the family members who force their child to work. They force their children to work in various sectors and earn money for their survival. And if in case the child is not willing to work than they even give very harsh punishment to their own child. Such cases mainly we see in the low class families and the poor migrated families. One can found the great amount of children working along the beach side, because in those areas they earn more money than any other place. The International Labour Organization estimates that 215 million children between the age of 5 and 17 currently work under condition that are illegal, hazardous or extremely exploitive. we can see underage children work at all sorts of jobs throughout state as well as in entire world. And thus we can see the gap between the rich and poor rises in the recent decades. Due to these reason poor families put their children in commercial, manufacturing, mining or in many other domestic services. Even some children work in illicit activities like the drug trade and such activities harms children. These types of child labour link to the child trafficking. We can mostly girl child is involved in domestic work and sometimes there they become a victim of physical, emotional,  and even sexual abuse. And today its a major issue we can see all over the world. So, if we want to uproot such dangers than first we should stop sending children in working sector. And instead of that we should send them to school where they can get some knowledge to support their daily life. Educated person can solve any sort of problem in their daily life by knowing what is good and what is bad for them. So basic primary education should receive by every child and by educating our children we can save them from many dangers.       

Corruption

this is one of the major issue that adversely affects our economy. In this vast and beautiful land we can see corruption in great level so however the beauty and the goodwill of this place is spoilt. Today in every sector one can find corruption. Also the corrupt people grow in great abundance day by day. Money power has ruled men at every stage in if we needs any kind of help from any Government sector or from any business sector we end up taking bribe to fulfill once need. This way  the level of corruption is still rising at the great level. Though lot of speeches go around speaking about morality but behind the doors it is money that rule. To complete any kind of fulfillment we need to spend lots of money from back door for getting work to be done. In every sector bureaucrats and politicians influence their power and money in such a manner that any powerful person survive from their matter. Hence in these places the work efficiency also gets corrupted and altered as per the peoples interest. corruption get start at higher level and it follow toward a very fine extend. Today we can see even a common man is involved in the corruption. So, the people who lies at a very low level finds it difficult to bypass and get his things done. villages and towns are all a part of these game and because of that mostly common people get affected. The height of corruption has reached to the very great extend where there are no proper laws to bring an end to these game. because o highly corrupted people who just do any thing for money its very difficult for common and the righteous to survive.

These has to come to an end and we need to reach a situation where every person from fine corner of these world should feel that living in the corruption world is like living the hell....
